Time Magazine’s Person of the Year

19 12 2008

The accolades keep rolling in for the President-Elect–today Time Magazine announced Barack Obama as the Person of the Year for 2008.

If you missed out on the Shepard Fairey Victory poster MoveOn issued after the election, Time’s special issue has two covers, including one designed by the artist. Not surprisingly both covers are available for sale.

Ebony Magazine has also voted Obama Man of the Year. Every article in the special addition (Jan.) is devoted to Obama. What I thought was great was that there were two articles that were written by youth. One was written b a 14 year old and the other a 21 year old in college. Not to mention there are advertisements for obtaining some very nice Obama memorabilia.

I haven’t seen the Ebony yet, thanks for the tip! I imagine he is going to be on lots of covers–it will be interesting to see how how his coverage (no pun intended) compares with other presidents.
